Born and bred in Penang. He began his advertising career in 1982 in JWT working on the MAS account. He moved to McCanns much later for the Coca Cola account. Then he decided to strike out on his own and started the enormously successful marketing company called Bulan & Bintang Bintang which saw the launch of the ‘Hijau’ album followed by ‘Ratu’ by Sheila Majid and ‘Ikhlas’ by the RAP ensemble.

In 1996, he decided to rejoin advertising for the British American Tobacco account. While there, he was also put on new business. Responsible for some of the most epic events in Malaysia – the Hot Air Balloon show and American Gladiator.
